I am a single mum with a mortgage who has no choice but to work, then I get this letter and had major stress issues which affects my depression. I can't afford this amount of money. The government would not help when I was unemployed for 12 months and now they screw me further with this huge bill. I no longer work for the company and I'm trying to get copies of a pay slip but that is near impossible. How am I supposed to pay this back?

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

The government takes the amount that they get from the taxation department then averages it over the financial year. Which says I was earning $1800 a fortnight. God I would love that type of money, but it has never happened. They need to go back and do the calculations again properly!!! Or just get rid of these bills and send out apologies to everyone.
