Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

Now trying to get a detailed breakdown of income from 3 employers from 6 years ago as my fortnightly payslips do not align with Centrelink's pay cycle. It's probably impossible but I have to try. $1300 is not small change to me.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

Being forced to pay back a false debt even while I'm appealing it is insane. Responded to their letters in time and was still charged a "Debt Recovery Fee". All because their brutish algorithm can do year 7 maths. How many people wouldn't bother or aren't capable of trying to prove the debt is wrong and will just pay it instead? Since when is it guilty until proven innocent? A screw up of this magnitude would have put a private company out of business by now. What's worse is the insistence that everything is "working perfectly".
