The government changes the law, does not advise and does not implement the new law (probably due to under staffing or no expertise). Fast forward to March 2019 - Overnight, i am in debt .. I called and asked when that policy of $80k threshold was put into effect and i was told the 20th March 2018. Yet i have to repay everything from July 2017 onward.
Can they just change laws on the fly like this to suit their needs ?????. They want a budget surplus and they put their hands in my pocket for it ????.
Fair enough you want to change the law, do it properly, implement it and cut off my payments. Don't give me all this money to then tell me i am now in debt because the policy changed without warning , nor action from them.
This is not a government anymore, this is a mob of thugs going around blackmailing people for money.
Angry and frustrated. I have spent hours and hours over the phone and service centers. Bounced around because no one knew the answers. Not a single document in the service centers reflect the 80k threshold. They have not even updated their documents and educated their staff about this and yet they are making me repay money that was given before the law went into effect.
