I reported my earnings every fortnight. I was working part time as I was studying this financial year. I had my tax done and Centrelink were well aware of my income for that year. Because I have savings I was bullied into paying the amount. Legal proceedings were threatened and I had letters, texts and phone calls from their debt collector. I couldn't prove anything other than my earnings. So I paid it. I don't understand how this debt accrued and why it took so long for them to decide I owed money. Anxiety through the roof and feel I've paid a debt I didn't owe.
How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:
Bullied until I paid it. No support and no one 'fair' to speak too. Disgusting.
