Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

I worked three casual jobs during this time and reported my income on a fortnightly basis. I received a phone call claiming I owed $2400.

I was easily able to access old pay slips from two of my employers and submitted my bank statements for the remaining employer. The figure did not change. I requested an FOI and the ADEX Debt Schedule report and found many inconsistencies with their "apportioned actual income."

I persisted with retrieving my payslips from the last employer and eventually uploaded them. The debt was reassessed with me owing just over $100. I further received a letter saying it had been waived.

Incredibly taxing on my mental health and hindered my amount of sleep. I had to take time off from work to review the debt and make many calls to centrelink.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

extremely poorly
