My wife received a letter informing her she had been overpaid. The details were that there was a discrepancy that occurred in 2012. At that time I strictly adhered to the stringent and continually changing reporting requirements so it should have been impossible to make such an error.
Obviously, being informed of a discrepancy 4 years after the event, there is now no way for me to determine if the over-payment was correct!
How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:
If this was private industry, such a company would not be in business, and perhaps people would be facing criminal charges. But luckily this is the government where this level of service and competence is considered normal and acceptable.
