Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

We're parents of three kids, two of them are autistic and the third has mild intellectual delay, we've been caring for them ( me and my wife) since 2014, never worked since then also we have our own medical issues. Our only income was the the government's benefits. Centrelink issued a robo debt on us since last year based on unintentional wrong calculation or information misplacement not sure if made by me assisted by a centrlink officer who supervises self service online clients in regional NSW as far as I remember. Despite my good English I never was good at doing the non tax lodgement and it always was a nightmare task to do at every end of financial year. I suggested more than once to Centrelink to arrange tuition courses regarding this task and other tasks such as general usage of Centrelink online services and MyGov accounts, portal, new claims etc.. Especially for those who are either aged or new arrivals in Australia, I'm seeing many desperate faces waiting for the slow response (attendance) of the officer who is usually one person besides he himself looks bothered with the big number of questions, this is what I noticed in Auburn branch quite often when I was living in that suburb. I mentioned these details in my phone correspondence with centrlink since last year.
Now that I knew that Centrelinks officer decided to keep the original decision, I've lodged a complaint at the commonwealth Ombudsman and will see legal aid soon.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

Hopeless and desperate, I don't have time to deal with these issues, I'm a 24/7 carer of two kids with special needs, autistic, helping their mum organising their lives at home and at school. We have no family support neither good friends who help us. Even the NDIS funding is not enough.
