It is just so stressful. I've spent over 3 hours on the telephone with centrelink staff and they have not been able to identify where or why the debt figure is what it is, yet they are more than happy to send me too a debt collection agency. It's just not fair. The system is flawed and someone needs to stand up and do something about it. It's incredibly stressful and a waste of my time and taxpayers money for all the workers getting paid to deal with withr angry phone calls.
Absolutely disgraceful. IF there is any debt to be recovered, than it is only proof of the flaws in the centrelink system for the past 5 years. The way the system works with tax records is supposed to prevent these kinds of errors occoccurring. But instead of taking the blame, the government wants to essentially steal money from whoever they can. It's just crazy. Absolutely crazy.
