The debt was raised due to a redundancy payment that was quite stressful. They basically made me relive to whole scenario and achieved the impossible of making it more stressful. I had payments deducted over the christmas period and was forced to borrow money from family and friends
Created a My Gov account ( as advised ). Notification of electronic letter went to junk on my in box.
No notification of possible employment review when i completed my fortnightly report in period of time of intial review letter.
I spoke to at least 10 different people who all offered different solutions,
Every time i spoke to someone new i had to retell the entire story.
I spent more than 30 hrs on the phone either waiting to be answered or explaining what i had already explained.
I uploaded the same documents more than 5 times as advised by different staff.
The worst part is when they call you there is NO WAY to call back except wait in line again.
Twice they hung up on me due to a bad lines and didn't bother to call back.
After finally losing it and calling them some unpleasant names they finally did something about my debt.
Makes me wonder if being nice and polite and following instrucions is a waste of time when you can just yell and scream.
Whole process was ridiculous.
