Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

I raised this issue first when I ceased study in March2016 last year, according to Centrelink guidelines. I tried 3 times online with no response, and as I was concerned about being lumped with a debt if payment I continued to call by phone, I was told the next payment would go through, but the debt collection team would be notified and no debt incurred, as I notified of the change in circumstances within the correct amount of time,

10 months later I receive an online letter contradicting that very statement, they are trying to reclaim that debt I was told was wiped, the person I was supposed to contact to query this conveniently was not available for the entire month of DECEMBER either, so the decision could be over turned, the best I could do until this is resolved is request a $10 a fortnight deduction until this is resolved... I will persevere.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

The government has acted poorly in this, an automated, broken system is not all that is to blame, the sort of problem I have face has obviously been caused by an over zealous employee backtracking through an already resolved debt issue and over turning it!
