This debt has been a nightmare for me, due to the debt being from 2012 it was very hard for me to get and provide the required information by the extended due date so Centrelink started forcefully collecting the debt from my fortnightly payment at $60 each payment, this has made it extremely hard to live and has now got me in debt with other companies eg. Phone and electricity.
Centrelink collected around 70% of the debt before I could supply my information and when I did they said they would stop the payments being removed straight away and my information would be submitted for review, however the recovery payments continued to be taken from me...
When I rang to complain about the payments continuing to be removed I was told the payments could not be stopped and whoever told me it could be miss informed me.
So I have given up, this system is completely unfair, I have no rights at all and I have no end in sight, I have been lied to and treated like a criminal, guilty until I prove myself innocent.
Please help me.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?: 

The handling of this process is completely weigh against me and unfair, how can they get away with forcefully taking money from me before my information has been reviewed and then say there is no time limit on how long the review will take this is not fair.
