Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

This debt made me feel so anxious knowing that there is no way i owe that amount
it has made me restless because debt collectors are keep calling me and telling me need to pay more of the payment i already set to pay $50 and we are not on centrelink $50 is already to high for us to pay and we are a family of 6 and live on high rent home our expenses are to high we are struggling.

But the debt collectors dun and bradstreet said we dont care how much your expenses are we need min of $400 a week from you. I told them we cant afford that amount and can only pay $50 they said no after a long debate the man said to me we will give you 2 month to come up with a down payment $1500 after that 2 month they keep calling i dont know what to do about this its haunting me and making me restless i dont no how to fight this

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

I am really dissapointed at the government
i really didnt get a proper explanation about the debt when i contacted centrelink they did not give me chance to get an explanation
i went to centrelink office to appeal it was launced i was told someone will contact me in 10 working days no one has done so i called them i told them i was sent a debt that i think it was incorrect and made an apeal they put me through someone the lady said to me the debt is no longer sitting with us its been refferred to collection agency and i need to start paying while that money is being investigated
she put me through to the collection agency so i am not happy the way the dealt with me situation i have not yet heard of anyone
