I confirmed my income in 2018 and the notice I received in 2019 had completely different numbers - they're calculations seem so random! Trying to save for a house deposit and they want to take a decent chunk after 4 years. I'm about to call up and go through an appeal process, but it's a bit hard with full time work.
Centrelink called me from a private number to discuss this debt, I only answered because a private number called 3 days in a row. They need to leave a message or use a visible number - so many people will be ignoring their calls inadvertently. The lady explained the process of setting up a payment plan before the due date and the number to call for appeals. But the system is incorrectly calculating these debts - I do not understand how this is acceptable.
